Hey it’s a brand new season of P.S. Spoilers! We call this Season 3, because it’s the third one! In this show, topics abound as Olaf tries to keep Dave and Luke’s brains from imploding against each other. He mostly fails. But somehow we mostly adhere to the schedule. Dave makes allegations about a dead guy based solely on his image. Luke practices Karate on a podcast, and makes sounds! Dave and Luke and Olaf all bring topics, we play Idea for a Movie, Undomained Names, and Who’s There, with varying success. We discuss a very few of the celebrities who’ve died during our prolonged hiatus, and there’s a lot of stuff which I struggle to categorize, describe or explain.
Listen immediately and please tell your friend. We don’t make money from this, we do it for you, the peeps. Oh, and call in your jokes to 31-AUDIENCE or we’ll never play Who’s There again.De Mortuis Nil Nisi Bonum. Psspoilers More >
Sorry for the delay on this one, Job hunting and real-world stuff have kept me so busy this last week that I haven’t had time to cut and post an excerpt. I didn’t have a ton of time today to do it either, so this isn’t a terribly slick excerpt, but… I’m going to throw this up here today just so I’m not a week late again. This drawing isn’t specific to anything either, it’s from my private stash of comics, but it’s not really in my style and was done on the quick, so let’s pretend it’s done specifically for this excerpt, because it’s pretty funny and let’s face it, you don’t care about the drawings anyway, you’re here for a discussion on face meat. I’ve also included a bit of our theme song for this episode, for purposes of padding.Standard Podcast [ 3:11 ] | Play in Popup | Download
Speaking of which, this excerpt is from the Jordan Berkowitz Hour, episode 15, where face meat is discussed in much greater detail. So if you do like this excerpt, give the full episode a listen. If you don’t like this excerpt, you’re probably a rational human being, so you really don’t belong More >
It figures I’d have technical difficulties posting the very last episode of this season. (Turns out I recorded it at 48khz and the Mp3 transcoder wasn’t pulling it down before mp3-ing at 44.1khz, which cause massive garble; for those who were interested.) But it’s resolved now, so here it is for you. While I was waiting for some transcoding, I changed my mind on the composition of this doodle, but then I didn’t really like it better. So the net result of my indecisiveness is that you get two versions here, with almost the same assets but totally different compositions. Tell me which you prefer in the comments!
Anyway, this is our first podcast from the road, we are in Luke’s car on the way to and from a game night at a friend’s house. Hopefully you can get through all the road noise and enjoy the regular noise of us chatting endlessly. We discuss Movies and Gary Coleman’s death, Olaf tries to get everyone to play Undomained Names, which doesn’t happen. We talk some politics and mention things we see from the car. Honestly this description isn’t doing much to sell you, but if you listen to it you won’t More >
17 - We are not trying to kill Rip Torn [ 1:06:36 ] | Play in Popup | Download
This hasn’t happened before. I think we killed Dennis Hopper.
Listen, we talk about celebrity deaths because it’s an interesting, often surprising part of pop culture. This isn’t to say we are enjoying the deaths of these people, because we don’t know them. We sometimes guess who might die next because we are squeezing levity into a macabre subject, laughing in the face of death if you will. Apparently this may come back to make us seem insensitive or dickish if our delayed release happens to coincide with the celebrities’ delayed release.
Actually, I think we may have known that something could go horribly awry, because this is at times an uncharacteristically somber and intellectual podcast for our usual standard.
Please don’t get offended, and if you’re going to sue someone, sue Luke. -Olaf
Well, I spent extra long on the doodle for today, since it is a double, but that leaves me unwilling to listen to this admittedly above-par episode of the show a third time today. So there’s no write-up really, just this note to say that this is really a very fun and funny episode of the show, you should listen to it.
And don’t forget you can vote on who won the show at the top of this post. Your votes matter. Somehow.Standard Podcast [ 1:07:41 ] | Play in Popup | Download
The process of birthing a podcast is a tenuous one, fraught with peril and scorn.
Week on week, ones hew closer to to the precipice of suck, without hopefully going over. Listening, as you are, from the future, you have the perspective given by time and tardiness. Some shards of mirth seem more polished and some less by the ravages of time. And the temptation is to set them against each other, as if in an ideological battle. We hope, as should you, that the premier premises need neither polish nor victory to justify their exemplitude
All of which is essentially to say that it’s not a very perfect podcast this week. But we do talk about: Prison, Possible Bruising, Non-Raping Time, Kraken, Greek Mythology, Honeymooners, Themesong, Coordination, WPSS, Squeaky Chairs, Horse Birth, The Jordan Berkowitz Hour, Mics, Christian Bale, Monica Lewinsky Jokes, J.D. Salinger, Bill Cosby, Female Prisoners, Catcher in the Rye, Ayn Randish, Holden Caulfield, Zelda Rubenstein, The Legenda of Zelda, Steven Segal, Zelda Fitzgerald, Poltergeist, Poltergeist 2, Poltergeist 3, Poltergeist 4, Jean Simmons, KISS, Gene Simmons, John Bell, Taco Bell, Southland Tales, Taipan, Shogun, Gaijin, Pliny the Elder, Theory of Gravity, Reading Porn, The Chinese, Fish Heads, Tennis, and More >
Wow, this is a hilarious episode of P.S. Spoilers. We talk about Video games, Movies and life, as per usual, though there’s no games or dead celebrities this time.
Give it a listen, and please, if you have any friends, tell them to try it out as well.12 - Rock Funkbucket - P.S. Spoilers [ 1:14:40 ] | Play in Popup | Download
I’ve included a little bit of extra pre-roll for you again this week. I’m doing this for two reasons, first because Luke and Dave asked me to, and they get mad when I don’t do what they tell me to do. Secondly, I’m including this so you can see what happens if it’s just Luke and Dave alone in the podcast, which should help to elucidate my generally frustrated state. I’m not just here to do all the web stuff and all of the actual work and all, I’m also here to prevent these fuckers from being complete tard-heads.
That said, some of the stuff they talk about is interesting, though I think all the Mormon-bashing is a bit out of hand, even with Dave’s customary equivocations. I don’t know what was up with my bowels during this show, though I think More >
Tiddies! is the name of our show, and tiddies is what we be all about!
This episode features a bit of bonus time, as I’ve added ten minutes to the top so you all can see what it’s like trying to get anything accomplished with these jumblies. There’s a very slight amount at the end as well so you can hear us hearing ourselves. Yeah.11 – Tiddies! – P.S. Spoilers [ 1:19:16 ] | Play in Popup | Download
First we talk about the themesong, Luke’s iphone, Xbox, Apple, then we make sheep sounds for a while. Luke is surprised that Olaf has never heard of Lambert the Sheepish Lion, sings the themesong, and Olaf tries to suss out the Christian propaganda in it. This leads us to Chronicles of Narnia, and Veggietales. Luke gets Dave to taste beer, MGD gets a plug, though not whatever Luke says is his favorite beer.

Then we start arguing. This continues for an hour. This is really the core of what we do here. The name gets batted and battered about, including suggestions as “Superlative Exceptionalism” and “Awesome Balls” and “Shitbait”. We discuss the Japanese and the possibility someone already has a product called shitbait. Luke is stunned. Then we talk about the phone number, which is no longer accurate, check the homepage for the current phone number.
Luke’s topic is about peeing. We talk about Revolutions, the coffee house, then Starbucks, the Coffee Conglomerate. Luke has a dilemma, which explains the featured drawing for this post. Olaf is confused by Luke’s hardline morality. Dave is on Luke’s side. Olaf asks important-sounding questions about banal trivialities. More >
